Skooby's Hot Dogs

With all of my things sitting on a truck on their way to Ohio I decided to go out for lunch today with some of my greatest LA friends. We went to Skooby's on Hollywood between Las Palmas and Cherokee. . Forget Pink's, forget Tommy's this is the best hot dog in town. they grill all the dogs, the sourdough buns are amazing, they make their fries fresh, the homemade lemonade is some of the best in the city and the prices can't be beat. A normal dog is only $2.50! Sure it's not the healthiest place you can do to but for what it is it's the best. I got a regular dog, fries (stay away from the aioli - personal opinion) and a bottled water for $7.63 - not bad for an LA lunch.

Stressed, Tired and Done

I will make this quick because I'm about to crash but I'm done packing. I swear I never thought it would happen but it did!!! I'd also like to give a shout out to Mrs. J. Ho for coming over and spending some time with me and Nanook. Nanook, the cat, has been very stressed out with all the boxes and disappearing hiding places. I have to say my eating hasn't been the best this week with all the packing and my running hasn't been good either. I gave up sugar for lent this year and haven't really gotten back on the sugar wagon since but today I had Sprinkles Cupcakes. A client sent them to me as a thank you. I don't like Sprinkles, never have. The cake takes funny as does the frosting and I never really got the hype. I know people love them but seriously just make them yourself at home. However I had one and a half....sigh....not one of my better moments and I don't even like them so it was even worse.

ok, off to bed. I have a date with the movers tomorrow am and I have to pull Nanook out from under the bed.

The Move Is On!

Howdy blog world!

This is it T-minus 14 days until I head out of sunny CA and head back to Cleveland for my "vacation" before heading down South. I can't believe I am leaving but I can't be more excited. Nanook, my cat, is another story. He's never lived anywhere else other than my current apartment and he's not liking what's going on. He's not sure what's happening all he knows is he doesn't like it one bit! He's taken to sleeping in a duffel bag on the top shelf of my closet. Yeah, this upcoming flight is going to be fun.

I have a few more days to pack before my things go on a truck and I'm left selling the rest of my belongings or donating them while working full-time and finishing my marathon training. Honestly the massive amounts of running is one of the few things keeping me sane. Well that and the thought of the amazing meal I'm going to have after I run the Marathon.

I will be in Cleveland which can only mean MELT! One of my favorite places on the freaking planet! If you haven't heard of it or seen it on the Foodnetwork's Diners, Drive-ins and Dives you MUST check it out. http://www.meltbarandgrilled.com/ Some of the most innovative sandwiches I've had but be warned they are like a heart attack on a plate. Totally worth the risk though. They are also opening a new location on the East Side of Cleveland in Cleveland Heights but because Mr. Murphy and I are such good friends it opens the day after I leave for Nashville. Ugh.....I was hoping to avoid the 2 hr wait for a table at the Lakewood location but I just don't think it's going to happen. A girl can dream!

More later.
